Students present Valentines to VA Vets

Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania – Second-year medical students of The Commonwealth Medical College’s (TCMC) Wilkes-Barre Regional Campus recently presented heartfelt valentines to residents of the Community Living Center at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center. The valentines were distributed during a special valentine themed luncheon in celebration of National Salute to Veterans Week (February 13-19) as an expression of honor and appreciation to inpatient and outpatient veterans.

The VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre provides clinical training opportunities for TCMC’s medical students in the Wilkes-Barre regional campus where, as part of TCMC’s community-based model of education, medical students begin training with community physicians and healthcare providers from the very first day of their education. TCMC also has regional campuses in Scranton and Williamsport.
