Scranton, Pennsylvania – An estimated 300 walkers, runners and tots took part in the first TCMC Turkey Trot: 5K Walk/Run on Saturday, November 13 in downtown Scranton. Organized by TCMC’s Class of 2013 and supported by student, faculty and staff volunteers, the community benefit raised more than $4,000 and collected clothing and canned goods for Friends of the Poor’s annual Thanksgiving dinner for senior citizens and other adults.

In addition, the Pediatric Outreach Group for Students hosted a bake sale and face painting at the Turkey Trot. Both were a huge success and money raised will benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center of Northeastern Pennsylvania.
