TCMC Internship Opportunities

The Commonwealth Medical College (TCMC) currently has summer and year-round internship opportunities.  There are two types of paid internships to choose from, research or administrative.  To be eligible for a research internship at TCMC the qualified candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field.  Administrative intern applicants must be in college or a graduate of college and must have excellent computer skills. 

When filling out your application, you will have the option to choose up to three research/administrative areas that interest you in order of preference.  Please click on the following links to read about the various internships available at TCMC.

Dr. Geoff Guttmann's Internship:  Anatomical dissection assistant 

Dr. Darina Lazarova’s Internship:  Investigating dietary factors influencing the physiology of colorectal cancer cells in vitro 

Dr. Jun Ling’s Internship:  Regulation of NFkB1/p105 activity by Pim-1 in cancer cells 

Dr. Erin McClelland’s Internship:  Characterization of the BCAT gene and its role in virulence and pathogenesis of C. neoformans

Dr. Sonia Planey’s Internship:  Regulation of Antiproliferative factor activity by DHHC2 

Dr. Moses Prabu’s Internship:  Overexpression of inactive Cathepsin D in E coli to produce soluble protein for X-ray crystallographic and calorimetric studies

Beginning March 1, 2009, The Commonwealth Medical College will be working with www.placefinder.com to provide potential landlords and TCMC students and interns with a great online off-campus housing service. Properties will be displayed to students and interns 24/7!
