The Master of Biomedical Sciences (MBS) degree program is directed at students who:
We recognize that applying to medical school is highly competitive and that many qualified applicants are not accepted on their first application. The MBS Program provides students with a solid foundation in biomedical science and focuses on strengthening the student’s candidacy for medical school.
The MBS Program also provides an opportunity to explore and prepare for other professional educational opportunities and careers in biomedical and health science fields.
The MBS curriculum has been designed to provide students with a unique, personal learning experience to assist in career goal achievement. Small class size and a commitment to student-centered learning are partnered with individualized career and education planning services.
MBS students are taught by many of the same instructors who teach in the medical degree program, learn in the same environment as TCMC medical students, and gain exposure to technologies and resources within the medical degree program, such as the Clinical Skills and Simulation Center. The MBS Program also features The Princeton Review, a comprehensive MCAT hyperlearning program, which helps students improve their MCAT scores.
Other hallmarks of the MBS program include:
In addition, MBS students who wish to apply to medical school are given a simulated medical school interview with feedback to help prepare for their interviews. The MBS Program is designed to support student success.
